The STPS3L40SY is a Schottky rectifier diode manufactured by STMicroelectronics. It is designed for high-efficiency power conversion applications requiring a low forward voltage drop and fast switching. The device is rated for a maximum repetitive reverse voltage of 40 V and an average rectified forward current of 3 A. The maximum forward voltage is 500 mV at a forward current of 3 A, enabling low conduction losses. The diode offers fast recovery characteristics with recovery time equal to or less than 500 ns at currents above 200 mA, making it suitable for high-frequency operation. It is housed in a DO-214AB (SMC) surface-mount package and supports an operating junction temperature range from -40°C to 150°C, allowing use in demanding thermal environments. The part is RoHS3 compliant and REACH unaffected. This diode is commonly used in power supply rectification, DC-DC converter freewheeling, and reverse polarity protection circuits.
