The STPS3L25S is a low drop power Schottky rectifier from STMicroelectronics, designed for high efficiency in switch mode power supplies and high frequency DC-DC converters. It is rated for a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 25V and an average forward current of 3A at a lead temperature of 115°C.
The device offers a very low forward voltage drop, with a maximum of 490mV at 3A and 25°C, and a typical 370mV at 125°C, reducing conduction losses. It also features avalanche capability with a repetitive peak avalanche power of 1500W and a critical rate of rise of reverse voltage of 10000 V/µs.
Packaged in the surface mount SMC (DO-214AB) package, the STPS3L25S is suitable for automated assembly. The junction-to-lead thermal resistance is 20°C/W, and the maximum junction temperature is 150°C. It is intended for use as an antiparallel diode in synchronous rectification freewheel MOSFETs in 3.3V SMPS and DC/DC units.
