The STGW40H65FB is a trench field stop single IGBT from STMicroelectronics. It is designed for high efficiency power conversion in applications such as motor drives and inverters. Rated with a maximum collector-emitter voltage of 650V and continuous collector current of 80A at 25°C, the device offers low conduction losses with a typical Vce(sat) of 1.6V. The gate charge is 210nC, and switching losses are specified at 498mJ turn-on and 363mJ turn-off, with fast switching times. Maximum power dissipation is 283W. The TO-247-3 package allows easy through-hole mounting. The junction temperature range covers -55°C to 175°C. Compliance includes RoHS3 and REACH unaffected.
