The STMicroelectronics ST2349AQTR is a 4-bit dual supply level translator that facilitates data transfer in multi-voltage systems. It accepts VL voltages from 1.65V to 3.6V and VCC voltages from 1.80V to 5.5V, making it suitable for interfacing low-voltage ASICs/PLDs with higher voltage systems.
This device supports bi-directional level translation without requiring a direction control pin, utilizing a transmission gate-based design. It can achieve a maximum data rate of 18 Mbps when driven by a totem pole driver and 6.8 Mbps when driven by an open drain pole driver. The ST2349A includes a power-down mode and a 5.5V tolerant enable pin. All I/Os are in a high-impedance state when either supply is off or the device is disabled.
The ST2349AQTR comes in a compact 16-QFN (2.6 x 1.8 mm) package, suitable for surface mounting. Its applications include low voltage system level translation, I2C and UART level translation, and use in mobile phones and other mobile devices.
