The Samtec SSW-104-01-G-D is an 8 position double row receptacle connector from the SSW series. It features a 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch and row spacing, making it suitable for board-to-board or cable applications. The connector uses forked contacts made of phosphor bronze with a 20 µ" (0.51 µm) gold plating on the contact area, ensuring reliable low-resistance connections.
The insulator is molded from black Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) with a UL94 V-0 flammability rating. The through-hole mounting style with solder tails allows for robust PCB attachment. The push-pull fastening type provides easy mating and unmating. The operating temperature range is -55°C to +125°C, and the connector is rated for 100 mating cycles with the specified gold plating.
Electrically, each contact can carry 4.7A when two pins are powered, with a voltage rating of 465 VAC or 655 VDC. The connector is lead-free solderable for the -S and -D row options. The insertion depth ranges from 3.68mm to 6.35mm. This connector mates with Samtec TSW, MTSW, MTLW, DW, EW, ZW, TSS, ZSS, TSM, TSSH, and HTSS series headers.
