The SSQ-139-01-L-D is a 78-position socket strip from Samtec's Tiger Buy™ series. It features a dual-row configuration with 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch and through-hole solder termination. The contact system uses a forked (Tiger Buy™) design with gold plating on the contact area and matte tin on the tails, ensuring reliable electrical performance and durability.
This connector is rated for 6.3A per pin (with 2 pins powered) and supports voltages up to 465VAC or 655VDC. It operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C and is capable of data rates up to 8 Gbps NRZ, making it suitable for a variety of signal integrity applications. The insulator is molded from black liquid crystal polymer with a UL94 V-0 flammability rating.
The SSQ series is designed for board-to-board or cable-to-board connections, with a push-pull fastening mechanism. The square tail leads provide secure self-nesting in through-hole applications. The part is supplied in bulk packaging and is lead-free solderable for double-row configurations.
With 100 mating cycles when using gold plating, this socket strip offers robust performance for prototyping, production, and industrial applications. Its compact 8.51mm insulation height and 2.64mm contact length allow for efficient use of PCB space.
