The SS36 is a Schottky rectifier diode from On Semiconductor, part of the SS32-S310 series. It is designed for high-efficiency, low power loss applications such as freewheeling, secondary rectification, and reverse polarity protection. The device features a maximum repetitive reverse voltage (VRRM) of 60 V and an average forward current (IF(AV)) of 3 A at TA = 75°C. The forward voltage drop is typically 750 mV at 3 A, and reverse leakage current is 0.5 mA at 25°C, rising to 20 mA at 100°C. The SS36 can handle a non-repetitive peak forward surge current (IFSM) of 100 A (8.3 ms half-sine wave) and a voltage rate of change (dV/dt) of 10000 V/µs. The device is housed in a surface mount SMC (DO-214AB) package, which is supplied in tape and reel with 3000 units per reel. It is Pb-free and Halide-free, compliant with environmental standards. The operating junction temperature ranges from -55°C to +150°C, with a maximum power dissipation of 2.27 W and thermal resistance RθJA of 55°C/W and RθJL of 17°C/W.
