SR560 Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The SR560 from MIT is a versatile low-noise preamplifier. It is engineered to handle both single-ended and true differential input signals, providing amplification gains from 1 up to 50,000. The instrument features two configurable R-C filters, allowing users to condition signals within the frequency range of DC to 1 MHz. Users can select between high dynamic reserve or low noise settings, and can also choose to invert the output signal relative to the input.

The SR560 operates with a fully floating ground, isolating the amplifier ground from the chassis and AC power supply. It includes opto-isolated input blanking control and a listen-only RS-232 interface for instrument control. Digital noise is minimized by shutting down the microprocessor's oscillator except when configuration changes are needed. For portable operation, internal sealed lead-acid batteries provide up to 15 hours of use.

This preamplifier is suitable for various applications requiring sensitive signal amplification. Its design focuses on minimizing noise while providing flexible signal conditioning capabilities.
