The SPHE8202LD by SUNPLUS is a single-chip integrated DVD A/V decoder designed for efficient real-time decoding and playback of MPEG1 and MPEG2 streams. It integrates a DVD/CD servo controller, a multi-channel TV encoder with a high-speed video DAC, and an embedded 32-bit RISC processor, minimizing the need for external components.

This decoder operates with a kernel voltage of 1.8V and an I/O voltage of 3V, drawing a typical current of 50mA. It is built using advanced CMOS technology and comes in a 216-pin LQFP package.
