The SP4020-01FTG is a unidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse's SP4020 series, designed to protect sensitive electronics from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and lightning-induced surge events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 3.3V and a typical clamping voltage of 21.8V at 24A peak pulse current (8/20µs waveform). The device can safely absorb up to 30A peak pulse current per IEC 61000-4-5 and withstand ±30kV ESD contact and air discharge per IEC 61000-4-2.
With a low typical capacitance of 2.5pF at 1MHz, this TVS diode is well-suited for high-speed data interfaces such as Ethernet, USB 1.1/2.0, USB 3.0/3.1, and T1/E1 lines. The low leakage current of 0.1µA (typical) at 3.3V minimizes power loss in standby applications. The device is AEC-Q101 qualified, making it suitable for automotive environments.
The SP4020-01FTG is housed in a surface-mount SOD-323 package (also compatible with SC-76 footprint) and supports operating temperatures from -40°C to 125°C. It is RoHS3 compliant, halogen-free, and lead-free, with a moisture sensitivity level of MSL 1 (unlimited).
