The SP0504BAJTG is a 4-channel unidirectional TVS diode array from Littelfuse, part of the SP05 series. It is designed to suppress electrostatic discharge (ESD) and other transient overvoltage events on data, signal, or control lines operating up to 5.5V DC. Key electrical specifications include a maximum reverse standoff voltage of 5.5V, a typical clamping voltage of 6.0V and maximum of 8.5V at 1mA, and a peak pulse power rating of 25W for an 8/20μs waveform. The device offers 30kV ESD protection for both contact and air discharge per IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4, with a fast response time of less than 1ns and a typical capacitance of 30pF.
This TVS array is suitable for general-purpose ESD protection in portable electronics such as mobile phone handsets, personal digital assistants (PDAs), laptop and palmtop computers, USB 1.1 ports, digital still cameras, digital video cameras, and MP3 players. The monolithic silicon construction provides lower clamping voltage and lower off-state capacitance compared to MOVs.
The SP0504BAJTG is housed in a compact SC-70-5 surface mount package (also compatible with 5-TSSOP and SOT-353). It operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 125°C and has a moisture sensitivity level (MSL) of 1. The device is RoHS3 compliant and REACH unaffected, though these compliance statuses are unverified. It is not intended for use in life support or life saving applications.
