The SNJ54HCT374J from Texas Instruments is an octal D-type flip-flop featuring edge-triggered operation and 3-state outputs. Designed for driving capacitive or low-impedance loads, it is suitable for buffer registers, I/O ports, and bus drivers.
This device operates with a voltage range of 4.5V to 5.5V and offers a typical propagation delay of 22 ns. The outputs can drive up to 15 LSTTL loads with ±6 mA drive at 5V. It consumes low power, with a maximum ICC of 80 μA, and features low input current of 1 μA.
The SNJ54HCT374J has full parallel access for loading data. The outputs are set to logic levels at the data inputs on the positive transition of the clock input. An output-enable input controls the outputs, allowing them to be in a normal logic state or a high-impedance state, which minimizes bus loading.
Packaged in a 20-pin CDIP, this flip-flop is designed for through-hole mounting and operates across a wide temperature range of -55°C to 125°C.
