The SN75LVDS83BDGGR from Texas Instruments is a FlatLink™ integrated circuit that functions as a 28-bit LVDS transmitter and serializer. It is designed to directly interface with LCD display panels, supporting resolutions from HVGA up to HD with low EMI. The device accepts 1.8V to 3.3V tolerant data inputs, allowing connection to low-power application and graphic processors.
Key electrical specifications include a transfer rate of up to 135 Mpps and a pixel clock frequency range of 10 MHz to 135 MHz. It operates from a single 3.3V supply, consuming approximately 170 mW at 75 MHz. When disabled, power consumption is less than 1 mW. The transmitter features 28 data channels plus clock input in low-voltage TTL, converting them to 4 low-voltage differential data channels plus clock output.
This component is available in a 56-TSSOP package. It supports selectable rising or falling clock edge triggered inputs and is compatible with OMAP 2x, OMAP 3x, and DaVinci application processors. The device also features ESD protection rated at 5 kV HBM and is compatible with Spread Spectrum Clocking (SSC).
