The Texas Instruments SN75C189N is a quadruple low-power line receiver that interfaces data terminal equipment (DTE) with data circuit-terminating equipment (DCE). It conforms to TIA/EIA-232-F and ITU Recommendation V.28 standards.
This receiver features a typical supply current of 420 uA and operates with a logic voltage of 5V. It supports data rates up to 1 Mbps and includes built-in input hysteresis of 330 mV for improved noise immunity. The device also has an on-chip filter that rejects input pulses shorter than 1 us, with the option for external capacitor filtering.
