The SN75123N is a dual line driver manufactured by Texas Instruments, specifically designed to meet the input/output interface specifications for IBM System 360. It is compatible with standard TTL logic and supply voltage levels, operating from a single 5V supply within a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
This device features low-impedance emitter-follower outputs capable of driving terminated lines such as coaxial cable or twisted pair. The uncommitted outputs allow for wired-OR logic in party-line applications. Output short-circuit protection is integrated, activating when the output voltage drops below approximately 1.5V. All inputs are in a conventional TTL configuration, and gating can be utilized during power-up and power-down sequences to prevent noise introduction to the line.
The SN75123N is packaged in a 16-PDIP through-hole configuration. It is designed for use with the SN75124 triple line receiver and is interchangeable with N8T13 and N8T23.
