The SN74LVCH244ADGVR from Texas Instruments is an octal buffer/line driver designed for 1.65-V to 3.6-V VCC operation. This device features two 4-bit line drivers with separate output-enable (OE) inputs. When OE is low, data passes from the A inputs to the Y outputs. When OE is high, the outputs enter a high-impedance state.
Key features include bus-hold circuitry on data inputs, which eliminates the need for external pullup/pulldown resistors. The device supports mixed-mode signal operation, allowing 5-V input/output voltage with a 3.3-V VCC. It also supports partial-power-down applications using Ioff circuitry.
Electrical characteristics include a maximum propagation delay of 5.9 ns at 3.3 V. ESD protection exceeds 2000 V for the Human-Body Model, 200 V for the Machine Model, and 1000 V for the Charged-Device Model. Latch-up performance exceeds 250 mA per JESD 17.
The SN74LVCH244ADGVR is available in a 20-TVSOP package and is designed for surface mounting. It operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
