The SN74LVCC4245APW from Texas Instruments is an octal bidirectional bus transceiver featuring configurable output voltage and 3-state outputs. This device utilizes two separate power-supply rails, with the A port accepting 4.5 V to 5.5 V and the B port accepting 2.7 V to 5.5 V. This configuration allows for seamless voltage translation between 3.3-V and 5-V environments.
Designed for asynchronous communication, the SN74LVCC4245A transmits data between the A and B buses based on the direction-control (DIR) input. The output-enable (OE) input can disable the device, effectively isolating the buses. Control circuitry is powered by VCCA.
This transceiver operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and is available in a 24-TSSOP package. It offers robust ESD protection exceeding 2000 V (HBM) and 1000 V (CDM), and latch-up performance above 250 mA per JESD 17.
