The SN74LV165ARGYRG4 is an 8-bit parallel-load shift register designed by Texas Instruments. This device operates within a wide VCC range of 2V to 5.5V, making it suitable for various applications. It features a maximum propagation delay of 10.5 ns at 5V and a maximum clock frequency of 85 MHz.
Data is shifted towards the serial output Q H when the device is clocked. Parallel-in access to each stage is provided by eight individual direct data inputs, enabled by a low level at the shift/load (SH/LD) input. The SN74LV165A devices also include a clock-inhibit function and a complemented serial output (Q H).
This shift register is specified for partial-power-down applications using Ioff, where the Ioff circuitry disables outputs to prevent damaging current backflow when the device is powered down. It supports mixed-mode voltage operation on all ports and has latch-up performance exceeding 250 mA per JESD 17.
The SN74LV165ARGYRG4 is supplied in a 16-VQFN (4x3.5) package and is designed for surface mount applications. Its operating temperature range is -40°C to 125°C.
