The SN74ABT5401DW from Texas Instruments is an 11-bit buffer and line driver designed for high-performance memory address drivers, clock drivers, and bus-oriented receivers and transmitters. This device features 3-state outputs controlled by two output enable inputs (OE1 and OE2). When either OE1 or OE2 is high, all 11 outputs are in a high-impedance state.
Designed with EPIC-IIB BiCMOS technology, it offers significantly reduced power dissipation. The outputs are capable of sourcing or sinking up to 12mA and include integrated 25-ohm series resistors to minimize overshoot and undershoot, eliminating the need for external resistors. The SN74ABT5401DW is characterized for operation from -40°C to 85°C and is available in a 28-SOIC package.
This buffer/line driver is suitable for applications requiring efficient data transmission and bus interfacing in digital systems. Its 3-state capability allows for easy integration into multiplexed bus structures.
