SN65176BP

The SN65176BP from Texas Instruments is a differential bus transceiver designed for bidirectional data communication on multipoint bus transmission lines. It meets or exceeds ANSI standards TIA/EIA-422-B and TIA/EIA-485-A, as well as ITU Recommendations V.11 and X.27.

This transceiver features a 3-state differential line driver and a differential input line receiver, both operating from a single 5V power supply. The driver has an active-high enable, and the receiver has an active-low enable, which can be externally connected to function as a direction control. The device is suitable for party-line applications due to its wide positive and negative common-mode voltage ranges.
