The SN3350IP05E-01 is a versatile buck-type, constant current LED driver IC from ISSI. It is suitable for applications where the power supply voltage is higher than the required voltage for a single LED or a string of LEDs. The chip supports an input voltage range of 6V to 40V and can provide an output current of up to 750mA, enabling up to 30W of output power.
Featuring an integrated power MOSFET, the SN3350IP05E-01 utilizes high-side current detection to set the average working current via an external resistor. The output current can also be adjusted using a control signal applied to the ADJ pin, which accepts either DC voltage or PWM signals for dimming control. When the ADJ pin voltage drops below 0.2V, the chip enters a low-power shutdown mode.
Available in SOT23-5, SOT89-5, and SOP-8 packages, the SN3350IP05E-01 offers flexibility for different current requirements. The SOT23-5 package is suitable for 350mA output, while the SOT89-5 and SOP-8 packages support up to 700mA. The device includes inherent LED open-circuit protection and over-temperature protection (OTP), enhancing reliability. Its high efficiency (up to 95%) and 1200:1 dimming ratio make it suitable for various lighting applications including LED spotlights, automotive lighting, industrial lighting, and backlights.
