The SMS05T1G is a quad monolithic silicon ESD and surge protector from ON Semiconductor, designed for applications requiring ESD protection. It provides superior surge protection with up to 350 watts peak power per the 8x20µs waveform.
This device features four separate unidirectional configurations in a compact SC-74 surface mount package. Key electrical specifications include a working peak reverse voltage of 5V, clamping voltage of 15.5V, and peak pulse current of 23A (8/20µs). The total power dissipation is 225mW on FR-5 board.
The SMS05T1G offers high ESD protection with a Human Body Model rating exceeding 25kV, and IEC 61000-4-2 ratings of 15kV air discharge and 8kV contact discharge. It also meets IEC 61000-4-4 EFT immunity at 40A and IEC 61000-4-5 surge immunity at 23A.
The device is housed in an SC-74 (SOT-457) package and is surface mountable. It is Pb-Free and RoHS compliant, with a UL flammability rating of 94 V-0. Operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C.
