The Protek Devices SMP6LC12-2P is a high-powered, multi-line, low capacitance Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) array. It is engineered to provide robust board-level protection for standard TTL and MOS bus line applications against damaging effects from ESD, tertiary lightning, and switching transients.
This TVS array features a rated standoff voltage of 12.0V and a minimum breakdown voltage of 13.3V at 1mA. It offers a maximum clamping voltage of 35.0V at 140.0A (8/20µs pulse) and a maximum leakage current of 2µA at VWM. The device provides a peak pulse power rating of 400 Watts for a 10/1000µs waveshape and 3,900 Watts for an 8/20µs waveshape per line. It is designed to protect two bidirectional lines with a low typical capacitance of less than 30pF per line pair.
The SMP6LC12-2P meets stringent industry standards, including IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD) with 15kV air and 8kV contact discharge compatibility, IEC 61000-4-4 (EFT) with 40A capability, and IEC 61000-4-5 (Surge) with 100A capability (for 5V variants). It also complies with Bellcore GR-1089 surge requirements.
Packaged in a molded JEDEC SO-16 package, this device is suitable for surface mount applications. It features lead-free pure-tin plating and a solder reflow temperature of 260-270°C. The component has a flammability rating of UL 94V-0 and is supplied on 16mm tape and reel per EIA Standard 481.
