The SMP1345-040LF from Skyworks Solutions is a surface-mount silicon PIN diode part of the SMP1345 series. It is designed for RF switching applications from 10 MHz to 6 GHz, including high-isolation LNBs, WLANs, and wireless switches. The diode features very low insertion loss of 0.4 dB, typical capacitance of 0.15 pF, and low resistance of 1.5 Ω at 10 mA. The reverse voltage rating is 50 V with a maximum forward current of 150 mA. Power dissipation is rated at 250 mW at 25°C lead temperature. The operating temperature range is -65°C to 150°C. The device is packaged in a SOD-882 (0402) package, suitable for surface mount assembly. It is RoHS compliant and halogen-free, with MSL 1 rating. The short carrier lifetime of 100 ns and thin I-region width of 10 μm enable fast switching performance.
