The SMF05T2G is a quad monolithic silicon overvoltage suppressor designed for ESD protection in sensitive equipment. It features four separate unidirectional channels in a single SC-88A (SC-70-5/SOT-353) package, ideal for space-constrained designs.
Key electrical specifications include a reverse standoff voltage of 5V, breakdown voltage range of 6.1V to 7.2V at 1mA, and a low clamping voltage of 12.5V. It can handle peak pulse current of 12A (8/20µs waveform) with a peak power dissipation of 200W. The device offers low leakage current (<5µA at 5V) and low capacitance (90pF typical at 1MHz).
This TVS array provides ESD protection compliant with IEC 61000-4-2, with ratings of 16kV air discharge and 9kV contact discharge. It is suitable for applications in computers, printers, cell phones, and medical equipment where board space is at a premium.
