SMF05CT1G

The SMF05CT1G is a 5-line ESD protection diode array designed to protect sensitive electronics from transient voltage events. It features a reverse working voltage of 5 V and a breakdown voltage range of 6.2 V to 7.2 V at 1 mA. The clamping voltage is 12.5 V at a peak pulse current of 5 A (8×20 µs waveform). The device can handle peak pulse currents up to 8 A and peak power dissipation of 100 W under the same waveform. It provides ESD protection exceeding 16 kV Human Body Model, 400 V Machine Model, and 15 kV IEC 61000-4-2 air and contact discharge.

The array contains five unidirectional channels in a common anode configuration, making it suitable for protecting multiple data lines or I/O ports. The capacitance is 80 pF at 1 MHz, which is appropriate for high-speed signal lines. The device is intended for general-purpose applications including handheld portable devices, networking and telecom equipment, automotive electronics, and serial/parallel ports.

The SMF05CT1G is offered in a surface-mount SC-88 package (also known as SC-70-6 or SOT-363). It operates over a junction temperature range of -40°C to 125°C and can be stored from -55°C to 150°C. The device is Pb-free and RoHS3 compliant (low confidence, unverified). The flammability rating is UL 94 V-0.
