The Littelfuse SMDJ75A is a 3000W peak pulse power TVS diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 75V and a maximum clamping voltage of 121V at a peak pulse current of 24.8A (10/1000µs waveform).
This unidirectional device offers a fast response time of less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage. It is rated for a peak forward surge current of 300A (8.3ms single half sine wave) and has a maximum forward voltage of 3.5V at 100A. The operating junction temperature range is -65°C to 150°C.
The SMDJ75A is housed in a DO-214AB (SMCJ) surface mount package with matte tin lead-free plated terminations. It is halogen free and lead free (Pb-free E3). Typical thermal resistance is 15°C/W junction-to-lead and 75°C/W junction-to-ambient.
