The Littelfuse SMDJ45A is a 3000W surface mount TVS diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 45V and a maximum clamping voltage of 72.7V at a peak pulse current of 41.3A (10/1000μs waveform).
The device offers a fast response time of less than 1.0ps and provides ESD protection up to 30kV (air and contact) per IEC 61000-4-2, as well as EFT protection per IEC 61000-4-4. The SMDJ45A is a unidirectional Zener-type TVS diode with a single channel, suitable for general-purpose transient voltage suppression.
Packaged in a DO-214AB (SMC) surface mount package with matte tin lead-free plating, the SMDJ45A operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 150°C. It is RoHS compliant, halogen free, and has an MSL rating of Level 1 (unlimited).
