The SMDJ33CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode designed by Littelfuse to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 33V and a maximum clamping voltage of 53.3V at a peak pulse current of 56.3A (10/1000μs waveform). With a peak pulse power dissipation rating of 3000W, it is suitable for general purpose applications in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics. The device is surface mounted in a DO-214AB (SMC) package and operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 150°C. It also provides ESD protection up to 30kV (air and contact) per IEC 61000-4-2 and has a response time of less than 1.0ps. The SMDJ33CA is lead-free (Pb-free E3) and halogen free, making it environmentally compliant.
