The SMDJ30A-HRA is a unidirectional Zener TVS diode from Littelfuse's SMDJ-HRA high reliability series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. The device offers a peak pulse power dissipation of 3000W (10/1000µs waveform) and a peak pulse current of 62A. The reverse standoff voltage is 30V, with a clamping voltage of 48.4V.
This component is AEC-Q101 qualified for automotive applications and features glass passivated chip junction, fast response time typically less than 1.0ps, and excellent clamping capability. The SMDJ30A-HRA is supplied in a surface mount DO-214AB (SMC) package, suitable for automated assembly. It operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 150°C and meets RoHS, halogen-free, and lead-free requirements.
Typical applications include general purpose circuit protection, power supply protection, and transient voltage suppression in automotive, industrial, and consumer electronics. The device is also available with enhanced reliability screening options per MIL-PRF-19500.
