The SMDJ28CA is a bidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse, part of the SMDJ series. It provides 3000W peak pulse power dissipation at 10/1000µs waveform, with a reverse standoff voltage of 28V and a maximum clamping voltage of 45.4V. The device can handle a peak pulse current of 66.1A and features a fast response time of less than 1.0ps.
Designed for surface mount applications, the SMDJ28CA comes in a DO-214AB (SMC) package. It operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 150°C and stores from -65°C to 175°C. Thermal resistance is 15°C/W junction-to-lead and 75°C/W junction-to-ambient. The component is ideal for protecting sensitive electronics from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events.
This TVS diode is suitable for general purpose circuit protection in I/O interfaces, VCC bus, telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer applications. It is not designed for power line protection. The device is halogen free, lead-free with matte tin plating, and complies with RoHS and REACH requirements.
