The Littelfuse SMDJ22CA is a 3000W bidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 22V, a minimum breakdown voltage of 24.4V, and a maximum clamping voltage of 35.5V at a peak pulse current of 84.5A (10/1000µs waveform).
This component offers a peak pulse power dissipation of 3000W and a peak forward surge current rating of 300A (8.3ms single half sine wave). It has a fast response time of less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage.
