The Littelfuse SMDJ18A is a 3000W unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 18V and a clamping voltage of 29.2V at a peak pulse current of 102.7A (10/1000μs waveform).
The device is housed in a surface-mount DO-214AB (SMC) package with matte tin lead-free termination. It offers ESD protection up to 30kV air and 30kV contact per IEC-61000-4-2, and is rated for operating junction temperatures from -65°C to 150°C. The SMDJ18A is halogen-free, lead-free, and RoHS3 compliant.
Ideal for general-purpose circuit protection, this TVS diode is suited for I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computing, industrial, and consumer electronics. The DO-214AB package enables efficient board space utilization in automated assembly processes.
