The SMDJ16A is a unidirectional Zener TVS diode from Littelfuse designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It offers 3000W peak pulse power dissipation at 10/1000µs waveform, with a clamping voltage of 26V and peak pulse current capability of 115.4A.
This device features a fast response time of less than 1.0 ps and ESD protection up to 30kV air and contact per IEC 61000-4-2. It operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 150°C and can be stored at -65°C to 175°C. Typical thermal resistance is 15°C/W junction-to-lead and 75°C/W junction-to-ambient.
The SMDJ16A is supplied in a DO-214AB (SMC) surface mount package, suitable for automated assembly. It is RoHS3 compliant, Halogen Free, and lead-free. Applications include I/O interfaces, VCC bus, telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics.
