The SMDJ10A is a unidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 10V and a clamping voltage of 17V at the peak pulse current of 176.5A (10/1000µs waveform).
The device offers a peak pulse power dissipation of 3000W for single-die parts under the 10/1000µs test waveform. It can also handle a peak forward surge current of 300A (8.3ms single half sine wave). The operating temperature range spans -65°C to 150°C, with a storage range up to 175°C.
The SMDJ10A is housed in a DO-214AB (SMCJ) surface-mount package and is RoHS compliant, halogen free, and lead-free with matte tin plating. It is suitable for protecting I/O interfaces, VCC buses, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronic applications.
