The Vishay Dale SMCJ9.0CA-E3/57T is a surface mount Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) Diode housed in a DO-214AB (SMC) package. This device is designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients.
Key electrical characteristics include a working voltage (VWM) of 5V and a breakdown voltage (VBR) of 6.4V. It features a clamping voltage (VC) of 15.4V at a peak pulse current of 97.4A, with a maximum peak pulse power (PPPM) rating of 1500W for a 10/1000 μs waveform. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C.
This TVS diode is suitable for general purpose applications and is ideal for automated placement due to its low profile package. It provides excellent clamping capability and a very fast response time, making it effective against voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lighting.
