The SMCJ85CA is a bidirectional TVS diode from the Littelfuse SMCJ series, designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. It offers 1500W peak pulse power capability at 10/1000μs waveform.
Key electrical specifications include 85V reverse standoff voltage, minimum breakdown voltage of 94.4V, and maximum clamping voltage of 137V at 11A peak pulse current. The device features fast response time typically less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage, low incremental surge resistance, and typical leakage current less than 1μA for breakdown voltages above 12V.
