The SMCJ7.5CA-13 is a 1500W surface-mount transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Diodes Incorporated, part of the SMCJ5.0(C)A through SMCJ200(C)A series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning, inductive load switching, and electrostatic discharge.
This bidirectional device has a reverse standoff voltage of 7.5V and a maximum clamping voltage of 12.9V at a peak pulse current of 116.3A. It can handle 1500W of peak pulse power for a 10/1000µs waveform and offers a fast response time. The diode is housed in a DO-214AB (SMC) package and is rated for operation from -55°C to +150°C junction temperature.
