The SMCJ6.0CA-13-F is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Diodes Incorporated. It is designed to protect sensitive electronic circuits from voltage transients induced by lightning, ESD, and switching events. With a standoff voltage of 6V and clamping voltage of 10.3V, it provides robust protection for low-voltage power rails and signal lines. The device can handle 1500W of peak pulse power under a 10/1000µs waveform, making it suitable for medium-power surge protection applications.
The TVS diode features a fast response time and excellent clamping capability, ensuring minimal overshoot during transient events. It is packaged in a surface-mount DO-214AB (SMC) package, which is ideal for automated assembly. The device is RoHS compliant, lead-free, halogen-free, and has a moisture sensitivity level of 1 (unlimited). Operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C junction temperature.
The bidirectional polarity allows for protection of both positive and negative transients without orientation concerns. The SMCJ6.0CA-13-F is part of the SMCJ series offering standoff voltages from 5.0V to 200V.
