The SMCJ6.0A-TR is a unidirectional TVS diode from STMicroelectronics designed for general purpose transient voltage suppression. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 6V and a clamping voltage of 13.7V. The device can handle peak pulse power of 1500W (8/20µs waveform) and a peak pulse current of 730A. It is a single-channel Zener-type TVS diode.
This TVS diode is suitable for protecting sensitive electronics from voltage spikes and surges. It is not intended for power line protection. The device operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C.
