The SMCJ54A is a surface mount TVS diode from Littelfuse Inc., part of the SMCJ series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events.
With a peak pulse power dissipation of 1500W (10/1000µs waveform), it provides robust clamping capability. The reverse standoff voltage is 54V, and the clamping voltage is 87.1V at a peak pulse current of 17.3A. It is a unidirectional device with a single channel.
The device is housed in a DO-214AB (SMC) package and is designed for surface mount applications to optimize board space. It has a glass passivated junction and is halogen-free and RoHS compliant. Operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C.
