The SMCJ48A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from Bourns, part of the SMCJ series. It offers a reverse standoff voltage of 48V and a clamping voltage of 77.4V, providing reliable protection for sensitive electronic circuits from voltage transients.
With a peak pulse power rating of 1500W (10/1000μs waveform) and a peak pulse current of 19.4A, this device is suitable for protecting I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer applications. The SMCJ48A features a response time of less than 1.0ps and ESD protection up to 30kV (air and contact) per IEC 61000-4-2.
