The SMCJ48A is a 1500W peak pulse power TVS diode from Littelfuse designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It offers a 48V reverse standoff voltage with a maximum clamping voltage of 77.4V, and can handle a peak pulse current of 19.4A under a 10/1000µs waveform. The device uses Zener technology and is unidirectional with a single channel.
Packaged in a surface mount DO-214AB (SMC) case, the SMCJ48A is suitable for automated assembly and features a low profile with built-in strain relief. It operates over a temperature range of -65°C to 150°C and has a fast response time of less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage. Typical leakage current is less than 1µA at 25°C.
