The Bourns SMCJ33A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events.
It features a reverse standoff voltage of 33V, a minimum breakdown voltage of 36.7V, and a maximum clamping voltage of 53.3V at a peak pulse current of 28.1A under the 10/1000µs waveform. The device can handle 1500W of peak pulse power.
Designed for surface mount applications, the SMCJ33A is housed in a DO-214AB (SMC) package and supports an operating temperature range of -55°C to 150°C. It is suitable for general purpose use cases including I/O interface protection, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics.
