The SMCJ30A-TR is a Zener-type transient voltage suppression diode designed for general purpose circuit protection. It features a maximum reverse stand-off voltage of 30V and a clamping voltage of 64.3V at a peak pulse current of 156A (8/20µs waveform). With a peak pulse power rating of 1500W, this device provides robust protection against voltage transients.
This unidirectional TVS diode is housed in a surface mount DO-214AB (SMC) package, suitable for automated assembly. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C, making it appropriate for a wide variety of environments. The part is RoHS3 compliant and has an MSL of 1 (unlimited).
Typical applications include general purpose transient protection in power supplies, communication interfaces, and industrial electronics. The SMCJ30A-TR is not intended for power line protection.
