The SMCJ300A is a unidirectional TVS (transient voltage suppression) diode from Littelfuse's SMCJ series. It provides 1500W peak pulse power (10/1000µs waveform) for protecting sensitive electronics from voltage transients induced by lightning and other events. With a reverse standoff voltage of 300V and a maximum clamping voltage of 486V, it is suitable for 300V-rated circuits. The device features a low profile surface mount DO-214AB (SMC) package, making it ideal for space-constrained applications. Electrical characteristics include a peak pulse current of 3.1A, maximum forward voltage of 3.5/5.0V at 100A, and a peak forward surge current rating of 200A (8.3ms). The operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C. The SMCJ300A is halogen-free and RoHS compliant design, with MSL level 1. It is designed for general purpose protection of I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics.
