The SMCJ28A is a 1500W unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from Littelfuse, designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 28V and a maximum clamping voltage of 45.4V at a peak pulse current of 33.1A (10/1000µs waveform).
The device offers excellent clamping capability, low incremental surge resistance, and a fast response time of less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage.
