SMCJ26A

The SMCJ26A is a 1500W unidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse, part of the SMCJ series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. Key electrical specifications include a reverse standoff voltage of 26V, a minimum breakdown voltage of 28.9V, a maximum clamping voltage of 42.1V at 35.7A peak pulse current (10/1000µs waveform), and a peak pulse power rating of 1500W. The device features excellent clamping capability, low incremental surge resistance, and a typical leakage current of less than 1µA for breakdown voltages above 12V. It offers a fast response time of typically less than 1ps from 0V to breakdown voltage. The SMCJ26A is housed in a surface-mount DO-214AB (SMCJ) package, suitable for automated assembly. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C. The device is halogen free, RoHS compliant, and meets MSL level 1 per J-STD-020. It is ideal for protecting I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronic applications.
