The SMCJ24A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode designed to protect sensitive electronic circuits from voltage transients. It offers a peak pulse power dissipation of 1500W under a 10/1000µs waveform, with a maximum clamping voltage of 38.9V. The device has a reverse standoff voltage of 24V and can handle a peak pulse current of 38.6A. Its fast response time (<1ps) makes it suitable for high-speed data line protection.
The diode is packaged in a surface-mount DO-214AB (SMC) package, which allows for compact PCB layouts and efficient heat dissipation. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C, ensuring reliability in harsh environments.
