The SMCJ22CA is a bidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse Inc., designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It offers a peak pulse power dissipation of 1500W for a 10/1000µs waveform, with a reverse standoff voltage of 22V and a clamping voltage of 35.5V. The device can handle a peak pulse current of 42.3A.
This TVS diode features a fast response time of typically less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage, and low incremental surge resistance. It is housed in a surface-mount DO-214AB (SMC) package, suitable for automated assembly. The operating junction temperature range is -65°C to 150°C, with a storage temperature range of -65°C to 175°C.
